HELP HATCHED CHICKEN ISSUES

Hi There,
I went yesterday to go check on my brooding silkie and after picking her up noticed that she had a baby chicken attached her her! One of the eggs had hatched and dried to her feathers. I very carefully detached the little chick and she/he was chirping. I set them both back down and let them be. After reinspecting, I noticed the baby still has an detatched yolk or something like an umbilicle cord still attached to her vent. Its the next day now and its still there. Also, the baby isn't moving around much, not sure if she can walk or not. She also is only opening one eye. The other looks almost like it has a film over it. I tried to gentle dap it off with water and its almost like her eye is blinking underneath a thick film. EEK. I hope she makes it but its not looking too good. Should I bath her? I'm not sure exactly when she hatched and wonder if she needs food or water. Maybe some vitamin water with a syringe? The chickie hasn't fluffed up yet so I also wonder if I should bath her is some warm water to get the glue off that had her stuck to mom.

You could try dipping its beak in water. You can also clean its eye with a warm wash cloth.

I have a little syringe which I used to give it some water with vitamins and probiotics then let her rest. I did gently rub her eyes and one opened but the other didn't. I don't want to keep stressing the poor thing out so I keep trying to help in phases. The main concern is the navel/vent area which I'm just leaving alone right now but it is pretty long and tissuey looking. I'll post a photo next time I go out.

It will be fine....Its just egg goop ...The umbilical with dry up and fall off....Just leave them for a day or so.....Momma will get stressed by all your interference .....Proved water and feed...No need to show them how to eat or drink...The hen will do that.....

I never see my Chicks till my Hen takes them off the nest a couple of days after hatch...I might get a peak if one is peaking out?....

Unfortunetly the poor thing didn't make it. I found the article:

and the chick's vent looked similar to chickenkeeper16's post. Hopefully its not a genetic disposition like the other users mentioned. If so, I don't think we'll be hatching our own cause I wouldn't want to put our rooster down. Also hope the little angle didn't suffer too much. The thought of putting a baby down is awful!
