HELP! Hatched! PICS...A little advise please! was: My first PIP EVER!!

Thanks, I appreciate just having someone to talk to!
He is doing ok still, I put the blue elephant in with him and he chirped a lot at me... but I left him alone.
the temp in there is doing ok... fluctuates a bit when I come and go as it's in the bathroom and not solid walls...
my plan for shoring it up went to the pooper when we hatched so early!

I'm off to bed now, gotta work tomorrow...

thanks again!
and good luck in yours hatching tomorrow (well today now!)

The little chickie is still alive, but not fluffy yet...
his tummy seems fluffy...
he chirps a lot and is vigorous from what I can tell... as a newbie.

I can't seem to find a way to regulate my temp with him tho...
I hope I didn't save him only to kill him!

The room air flow really drops the temp when you come in, but after it sits the whole room warms up and the temp under the light goes WAY up...
My daughter found the temp under the light this am at 111!!!!

chickie went to the far corner and was sleeping with his wing in the waterer.... taking a spa I guess... in the hot tub...
argh...

HELP!!!
anyone???

I lifted the light up and held he little one for a minute then dipped my finger in the water and gave him a few drops.

Oh and he hasn't eaten which isn't bothering me, but do I just keep wetting the chick starter? It must dry fast... so, it's wet/dry/wet/dry... I'm just drizzling some water on it so it gets damp..

I feel like I'm gonna kill this chick..
I lifted the light and the temp went down, then I left the room after I saw the temp go down to 100...
When I'm in there the temp stays really stable but I think the room (the bathroom) heats up after I leave and shut the door... so the area under the heater goes up...
I figured I needed to give it some time...

This is killing me! I intended to have two days to regulate this thing! This chick is TWO DAYS EARLY!!!

Congrats on the new chicks... random thought- hey, I think I have those same paper towels.

Um, well, I'm using a crate, with paper towels on the bottom over paper newspaper...
and for right now the sides are papered too, to hold out drafts.
and I'm using a brooder light with a infrared bulb, red color...
but there isn't a thermostat I have seen, I was told I just raise or lower the bulb... is that right?
and I have the bulb over to one side and corner of the cage so he can go to the light, or away...
is that right? or should I put it in the center?
I only raised it a few inches and it went from 111 to 94...
I let it down half an inch at a time and left it for half hour, did that a few times before I had to leave for work (or get fired!!!)
and got it up at 99.4...
I also moved the food onto the front side of the water, and wet it again, and he promptly went over and nested right on top of that! LOL!
he was pecking at it.
He likes the Elephant, he was roosting up on it's leg too... hehe... I'll download pics tonight, but dont' want to overload on pics..
