Can I clean my nesting box shavings out? My Hen pooped on the back area so the eggs are clean but I would need to move the eggs and Mom to clean out her box?!!!

Try to relax and not overthink it. Most broodies are decent about keeping the nest clean but occasionally there is a bit of a mess and it's normally not a big deal. Can you reach behind her while she's sitting it and clean it out or, is nuthatched suggested, take care of it when she's getting a snack? No need to disturb the nest and move all the eggs or anything.

Can you scoop out the corner while mom gets a snack?
She has been very stubborn lately and isn’t wanting to get up at all , I force her every two days and she’ll eat drink and go back in nest, I only move her bc I smell the poop! Her first time and my first time so I’m struggling on what to do

I have to remove the nest litter in the back bc it’s a pile on back then add fresh and eggs and she goes back cuddle
On eggs

I can not get to the back of nest while she is in there and her stubborn behavior lately lol doubt lazy mom gets up on her own! Hopefully this means she’ll love her babies bc she just wants to sit sit sit!

The poop thankfully doesn’t reach the eggs but it’s a huge pile and I don’t want babies touching it when they hatch or her adding more poop to her pile 🙈

Is it all on the straw? Maybe you could just grab that whole pile out of there?
Too bad she's pooping in the nest. Hopefully she's a good mom in all the other ways.

Yes right in the tangle! So if I grab one piece it’ll grab everything. When I clean it should I just add pine shavings?

That might be a good idea. 👍
I was hoping if you grabbed the hay with the poop on it you might be able work it out from the rest of the hay pile so no need to remove the whole nest, but I guess it depends how tangled up it is.

I made a temp nest with a top for more insulation during that cold storm, if it didn’t have a top this would be so much easier
