Help !!! hatching goose egg !!

how can i limit that ?
should i take the extra eggs out of the nest once she sits ?
I did and she never batted an eye. as long as they have eggs they don't care how many.

actually what i did was take her eggs up until end of April then the ones she laid after that were 8 she stopped at 8 and went broody.

If i keep taking her eggs will she keep laying ???
Yes, till she's laid out but she should continue to lay well into March maybe even into May or she goes broody first, then if the weather is nice stop taking them and see how many she lays, mark like psue said then when she begins to brood if she had too many take out the oldest.till you get a number your satisfied with. She'll be happy with any.

Sounds like a good plan !!
Ill wait for the weather to get better first
Do they need anything special when they brood?
Their cage is in a very windy spot does that matter ? Can wind ruin the eggs ?

Cage? they don't have a secure house to be in at night and nice fluffy bedding to lay and brood in? wind won't hurt the eggs but rain could wash the protective coating off of them. or laying on wet bedding out in the open may hurt them. Ot predators could take them.

The cage is secure enough and we have dogs to keep predators away they have a roof and the sides are covered so rain cant get in
We are planning to build a new coop for them when the weather get better

good news, I'm kinda shell shocked it's amazing how many people bring home poultry and have no way of protecting them so I always have to ask.
