HELP! Having trouble adding new chicks to my flock :(

I introduced 4, 6wk old silkie and polish chicks to my existing flock of 6, 8wk old laying hens (leghorns, sussex, ameraucana, sexlink, wyandotte & rhode island red ) and while the girls don't fight, they are still 2 very distinct groups. My new girls are only two weeks younger and all of my girls were kept in brooders side by side with a little interaction even as chicks. Now, as big girls, the older ones will not allow the younger in the coop! My poor little girls wait for the bigger girls to fall asleep and then sneak inside Will they ever work this out? Can I do anything to help them become one flock?

If there is no blood being drawn then I'd let them work it out themselves.

They will likely remain two distinct groups - they are very cliquish. However, when another new group arrives they may team up LOL.
