Eggtopsy results:
Opened the egg and all I could see was a very stiff yolk and some little white lines running through it. I thought I saw an embryo but it could have been my imagination. I guess when I was candling I just saw the yolk sliding around from what its usual position to upright when I candled it. I guess I will retire from the chicken business for a while until I can convince my parents to let me try again, and during that time I will be building a better incubator.
