Also, does anyone know if doing ‘the float test’ could be any help as in if they do not float does that mean they still have a chance????

I have heard many of the hatching experts here say the float test is usually more deadly than helpful.

Don't do a float test. The larger, fat end goes up. Look up assisted hatching on here.

You always want to open from the air cell side. This way if you see a surprise chick or duckling move you can still maybe help it still hatch.

Ok, thank you I have just opened all of the eggs and 10/12 are definitely dead,I ended up getting the whole chick out and it is very obvious that they were sooo close because they were fully formed, beak and everything but two of them I could see veins and maybe even a twitch as well, but might just me hoping too much but anyway I immediately but them both back in the incubator, also I realised that those particular ones are actually only on day 27 because I found them separately than the other ones so fingers crossed , thank you so much everyone for all your help, I’ll keep you posted if they hatch or not
