HELP HELP,I'm Scared for her

Hi,
Please can anyone tell me what is happening with her.

Some background:
She is a 10 mo.old silkie hen.She just lost her rooster 4 or 5 days ago(I still dont know why he got weak and died).I have her inside in an enclosure in my backroom,where she was fine until today.I woke up this morning to her squawking like I never heard before,and now and then she makes a terrible shreak noise.She has gotten out of the enclosure(the sides were only 8" high),and is running around the house.I went to see her and she like follows me and then just goes back to looking all over.
She just started laying 2 days before Eddie died.
Is she like looking for a mate(I have a 4 mo. old roo coming via mail),or could there be something else wrong?

She sounds lonely. I have a rooster healing in the house right now. He doesn't shut up and he follows me everywhere. If she doesn't have symptoms of an illness, I wouldn't worry too much. I've just been trying to keep Carmine's mouth full of something other than noise.

Thats what I thought,but I lost 2 chickens to an animal and 2 roos to illness,so she is alone(for a couple days),and I love her and worry.Her name is Maya,after the girl on "just shoot me" the tv show.
