Help! Hen attacked! [warning: gross photo]

My hen was attacked by something today. She is awake and alert and somehow doesn't seem to be in pain. Her belly feathers are gone and her insides falling out. Of course my husband isn't home and it's our first chicken emergency. What do I do?

It looks like her intestines are falling out. Honestly this isn't really something you can treat. You can take her to a vet to see if they can stitch her back together or cull her and put her out of her misery. A wound with internal organs falling out isn't really something that can be treated at home. She needs to be sutured up, and it's possible the intestines were damaged, so they'd need to be fixed, etc.

The best thing for her is probably to be put down, sorry
