Hey all,

I have an olive egger hen, little over a year old. She has a rather large comb, and just last night as I was putting the babies to bed I noticed the back end of her comb looks kind of black. It's like a bluish purple, almost like a bruise. None of the other kids have it, and it hasn't spread or anything. I don't think it's bothering Panera (her name), but I don't really know what it is. She's eating and drinking fine, forages in the yard, runs up to greet me after school, normal chicken stuff etc. I guess I'm just worried🤷‍♀️ I am unable to post pics, as my parents don't let me use my phone for this kind of stuff. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I'd have to talk with my parents, they don't really care about the chickens as much as I do, and I hardly ever use my phone, as I need permission to do that, and they never give me permission. I'm thinking it may have something to do with her suddenly going broody?
