Help, hen has gone from limping to waddling.

According to Haunted55, you shouldn't dilute it. It won't hurt them to have excess. I wouldn't add water. I have a tablet in my gallon right now and all my chickens are getting it for a few days at least.

She sounds like my Penny. Penny's leg just didn't work right, I can't describe it. It didn't go forward or backward like pics I've seen of Mareks, it might have just gone more to the side, not out far, but not quite right and it had to have been partially paralyzed.

I hope your Isabella improves. I kept hope up for Penny until Saturday when she just slept and wouldn't eat then wouldn't drink. She really did pass quickly, which was good I guess. I knew and I was able to be holding her.

Last night I was only home for a bit but when I went to check on all the girls Isabelle had once again laid an egg, small, but still. She also stood on the good leg a couple of times. This was new. I have gotten some other advice on the SLW thread, figured it wouldn't hurt to ask those familiar with the breed. We are adding tuna and raw liver to her diet. The liver is full of nutrients that are supposed to speed recovery. Will be adding that tonight. Offered the tuna last night, she was less than thrilled about it.

Another curious note. I started keeping a log of the number of eggs laid each day, just started on August 5th. We have 6 girls of laying age. We typically get 4-5 eggs a day. The last 2 days, since we have removed Isabelle, we have gotten 6 eggs. The only other day that has happened was back on August 14th. And the weather has only gotten hotter and muggier since mid August.
