HELP! hen sitting on only egg? What do you think? This one is a little complicated

I have a bantam, that had a hidden nest in my neighbors barn. Went missimg on the 5th and Found 12th of march. The eggs were on a slanted floor rolling all over the place plus 14 eggs wouldnt even fit under her. Put her and eggs in a box and relocated. Seemed succesful but next morning she was back at the barn. So i just moved the box back to the location in the barn and she stayed on them there. March 31st moved her and the box of eggs inside in brooder. She is Happy with it and not budging off the eggs, even while drinking and eating. After candling all them only one has developed. From my past candling experinces it looks great. See plenty of movement filling the egg but no internal pip. If i count from March 12th when i got her situated right in the box thats day 21 today . If I start from the 5th thats day 28. Just candled again plenty of movement in there but still no internal pip. Thoughs? Lots of variables here I know.

She may have laid it after you found her, in between one of the moves, so this could explain as to why it looks healthy, moves around, etc, but still hasn't pipped internally yet

I counted the eggs pretty well both times. Unlikely but I like to think that

As long as you removed the other eggs, she should be good with the one egg. Is the rooster also a bantam? I’ve heard of instances where chicks wouldn’t hatch because the egg was too small for its half standard breed genetics but most times they do fine.

Yes, both are same breed bantams i incubated 8 eggs sometime back and after 6 externally pip and died becuase i didnt want to interfere i ended up getting the other 2 out assisting. They were happy and healthy. Super nice chickens

Just worried dont know how late but it is late. Maybe 27 days or just 22

I had a black Cochin bantam chick that hatched out at 27 days but died at 3 weeks. Not sure what was wrong with her but one eye was cloudy.

Sad, I never hatched without a incubator, just wish I could hear a chirp or something to get me by. She is not giving up so ill let it ride out
