Help hen switched between two nests!

Omg! I told my husband to go out and get the eggs she’s on and give her her cold ones under her... he came in and said she was only on one egg!!! WTH

We will get them and make sure she doesn’t have anything else to lay on. The ones she left felt cold. If she left them overnight are the goners?
I think, if it has been 12 to 24 hours I think they are likely gone. If it were my hen and she had been off for a while I would probably toss the first eggs and start fresh with the new ones, but there is a chance, although very slim that some might be okay, depending on where you live. If you live in a cold place they are dead, but if you live somewhere warm some might be okay.

If you candled them and they are dark, that means they are far along and formed already.... grab them and stuff them under the hen, the eggs could still be viable.

Crazy bird. Could she have switched to a different nest?

What a looney. I figured they all laid eggs in a clutch and she couldn’t resist.
I'd toss them and start over. Let her have 6 eggs. Mark them and pull any fresh eggs. Don't let her get comfortable on the fresh eggs. If the other hens insist upon laying in her box, move her somewhere quiet and out of the way.

Okay that’s what we will do. I will mark them. If these don’t work out we will let her try again in spring when it warms up.

This is why I like to separate broody behind a wire barrier in coop to set,
no one messes with her.
If your coop is big enough for a large wire dog crate, or you can put up a temporary wire wall, might be a good way to go.

Your screen name cracked me up @TheDirtyLawyer !!
