Help! Hen swollen and lethargic....

Hens empty their crops through the night so a good guider would be to check her crop prior to her first feed of the day. Any later and their crops will begin to fill as they indulge in what comes natural - food! Hope this helps.

*****UPDATE******

Henny survived the night but this morning her crop was all swollen and fluidy again. I gave her some more oil and massaged and she vomitted a few lumpy bits and a lot of fluid (again very smelly). I could still feel a hard lump in her crop but she didn't bring it up. Gave her some more oil, massaged and left her with plenty of water. She has since done one oily sloppy pooh and another which looks more normal.

She is drinking and I left some pureed apple for her and I think she has eaten some (hard to tell as she's put lots of bedding in it!). She still pecking at the bedding.

Her crop feels soft to touch and has some liquid in it (is this water?)

My question now is do I leave her til tomorrow and see how she fairs or should I try and get her to empty her crop again before she goes off to bed. If the blockage has sorted itself out how long will it take for her crop to feel 'normal' again?

Thanks to everyone who has helped so far.
