well you jinxed me, i went out the next morning and found her on the garage floor. I set her out in the grass most of the day and she was truely not happy when i put her back inside. Shes in a dog carrier now so she can move around but not get out. She can scoot herself around pretty good but still not really able to use the leg.

if you can gently work her leg a little each day it may just be out of joint. Had a little duckling that had that problem, and in about 4 days after swelling went down it popped back when I was working it and then all was great!

Yeah, work the leg, it's numb and damaged. Try to increase blood flow and force it back into the normal position. It may hurt her, but it should help. Chicken physical therapy!

I had a young chick fall and get stuck upside down behind a nest box in scorching heat. He was dehydrated, disoriented, and dumb when I found him, but he was alive and he quickly recovered. He couldn't walk at first, but he got better. Think of it this way, when you let your foot fall asleep for a long time, it takes a long while to regain feeling. Now cut the circulation off your foot for a whole day and see how it feels.

Best of luck, I hope she gets better! Try some vitamins and minerals too!

One question: is the leg warm or cold? It is possible that the circulation was cut off so long that the leg tissues are very damaged. If the leg is cold......it may start degrading.

Is she able to use that foot at all, and not just involuntarily whenever her leg is bent by you?

Any changes to her eye shape or response?

Any bumps on her? Any ability to pick up that leg and move it at all?

the leg is warm and she can move the leg but movement and control to the toes is limited. I think the problem may be in the joint which I have been moving. I will do another overall check tomorrow.

Sounds like she is doing great. I had a kitten that got his leg dislocated once. It popped back in when I was carrying him around trying to find the vet's number. Maybe if you keep the leg bent the way it is supposed to be it might pop back in? Fashion a sling out of fabric or pantyhose and see how that goes.
