HELP HEN WITH SWOLLEN WATTLES

that sounds like an infection. White blockage=pus

If you can hold her down, try to gently remove the pus and see what is underneath.

There might be a splinter stuck in her mouth, or a super bad sinus or ear infection that has worked into the mouth and wattles ...... but try to find the start point.
Thank you for the reply. Yeah, I've had chickens for 6 years and never seen anything like this. Her appetite is great, but she is crazy thirsty, I'm guessing because with her weird beak she can't get as much in as the others. No diarhhea, very active, just not pretty .

We have seen others with swollen blue wattles that ended up being tick bites, so I am glad that you found the tick, and is improving. Ticks apparently inject an anticoagulant (bloodthinner) which allows the blood to flow easier. That in turn can cause swelling and blue color from hemorrhage into the tissue. I would probably use some 10% permethrin spray in your coop to get rid of the ticks, unless you keep honeybees.
