HELP! Hens killing roosters (Gory pic warning)

I take them out and for a dust bath in a hooded litter box for about 45 minutes 3x’s a week, but other than that they are on the wire floor.

I’ve tried putting in a shallow bin with pine shaving but the scratch it all out almost instantly. If you have any suggestions, I’ll try them.

I have birds on the ground, but I also have some in 2' x 4' hutches. The hutches have wire floors for poop to fall through, but each also includes a fairly large Tupperware type bin. I keep sand in them.

The sand gives them the ability to "bathe," plus it gets them off the wire for a few minutes at a time. As a bonus, one can hop in it if another decides it wants to be aggravating.
