Help! hip problem

It is very important to feed your breeders the correct diet. If not, a vitamin B deficiency can occur and pass through epigenes in the generations to come of eggs and chicks. My emu was a victim of this. Xrays did not show a splay, rather NO HIP JOINT so the leg was a noodle, nothing to hold it. I made the decision to put my baby down as he would get larger and the leg wouldn't work. I am devastated but this had to be done. Hopefully my emu chicks to come doesn't have similar problems.

Oh that was not the news I was hoping to hear. I am so very sorry for your loss but applaud your efforts on behalf of your dear little one. I hope your others are ok and soon their silly antics will help you forget. I will always remember the little one I lost but the joy the others bring helps make it better. May your baby rest in peace.

Mary
