Help!!!!! How did my chicken die?

one after noon i was in my living room and my dad came in the house and said my little cochin splash (my first chicken) died just after she layed her last egg

. we don't know the cause of death was but we did have wasps out side the coop and i don't know if heat could have been a factor because it was summer. last thing i must say is she had no constriction marks or anything like that she was just stiff in her nesting box...

i just need help...

she was seven but i thought cochins lived longer then that...
