HELP...How do I administer metronidazole pills to my chickens?

OK, so I got the metronidazole tablets, 250 mg for 5 days.
How do get the pills into them?
Do I crush them and dissolve in water then inject with a syringe into mouth?
Do I try to stuff it down there throat? They are pretty big.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I just open their beaks and stick them as far back as possible. If you think they're too big for that, cut them in half and give that way.
