help! how do I clip BigGuys wings

I just got me a 5 month old RIR rooster and he can fly.

He is very shy and if he got out of the pin he might wonder off.

How many feathers should I clip? Should I clip his like a hens?

I have him locked in the henhouse for tonight but I got to do it
some time in the morning.

Please give me your thought.

When my roosters decide to fly out of their pins,I clip there wings.I do it the same way I clip my hen's .I only cut the flight feathers.I have a RIR rooster too,but he has decided he is too bg to fly,so I don't have to clip his feathers

When I clip wings, I take them off the roost at night so that I don't have to chase them around. Just take them off, go to a lighted area,hand them to hubby to hold, clip clip, then back to the roost. Super simple.
