I just got me a 5 month old RIR rooster and he can fly.[IMG]
He is very shy and if he got out of the pin he might wonder off.[IMG]
How many feathers should I clip? Should I clip his like a hens?[IMG]
I have him locked in the henhouse for tonight but I got to do it
    some time in the morning.[IMG]
    Please give me your thought.

When my roosters decide to fly out of their pins,I clip there wings.I do it the same way I clip my hen's .I only cut the flight feathers.I have a RIR rooster too,but he has decided he is too bg to fly,so I don't have to clip his feathers

When I clip wings, I take them off the roost at night so that I don't have to chase them around. Just take them off, go to a lighted area, hand them to hubby to hold, clip clip, then back to the roost. Super simple.
