These are nice but they don't work in the winter even with a heater. I made one this winter using a five gallon bucket with a bucket heater and the water in the cups froze solid making the entire thing useless. For warm weather use these are great.

Waterer cups are the best of both worlds with a space saving line feeding in and also an open source for them to drink from.
