Make like a really good neighbor and offer them a letter that gives them permission to leave the shed there as long as they live there and the shed is not in the way of any planned use of your property. That way, you can re-evaluate things if you want to, say, put up a fence or something that requires a setback.

It's as much for their protection as yours, Because it acknowledges your ownership, you are protected from their claiming the land through squatter''s rights. It protects them, because they have the peace of mind knowing that they don't have to move the shed.

That sounds like the best option. That way we're all covered and still hopefully friendly.
