Help! Husband brought home chicks and I don't know what they are!

These were on sale at TSC. The bin they were taken out of was supposed to be silver laced and some type of bantams. I wasn't there when they were purchased by my husband and daughter who HAD to have the little brown ones because they looked like cookies.... (they've been named Sugar & Spice) I don't know what breed those are either if anyone has any guesses....

The other bins were supposed to have Isa browns, barred rocks, production reds, sex links, white leg horns and maybe some others not remembered according to what my husband is telling me that they were all mixed up and they were trying to get rid of whatever they had left of who knows what. The bin our mystery chicks came out with was labeled with silver laced and Bantams....

That black spot is new. That rules out buff orpington.

The black spot has me thinking a type of leghorn cross breed.

Thinking White Leghorn cross for now, that black spot is typical of a chicken that is heterozygous for dominant white.

Just a thought but the white with the spot looks like the austra-white we have.

I was thinking that too, they're an Australorp-Leghorn cross.
