Help! i’m new and can’t tell my hens from my Roos.

3.rhode island red, “marshmello”

4. Buff Orpington, “yellow bird”

5. Rhode Island Red, “red bird”

6. Rhode Island Red, “orange bird”

7. Golden laced Wyandotte, “little bird”

8. Golden laced Wyandotte, “big bird”

9. Easter Egger? “Rock”

These birds are all just over 3 months old. Any guesses would be appreciated! Thanks.

That was the one I was on the fence on. I am leaning towards pullet because the tail feathers don’t look as pointy.

Maybe, but look at the difference between both of the golden laced Wyandottes (pic 7 and pic8)
7 is definitely a pullet but Im going with roo on 8.

That’s what is really confusing to me. I keep trying to compare the Wyandotte and “little bird” has pointier tail feathers and small wattles while “big bird” has the wattles and no pointy tail. I guess i’ll know for sure if they start laying eggs!

Hello, and welcome to BYC! I think that the breed's that have the peacombs are harder to tell the sex of.
