Hello everyone, New chicken mommy here ,since June 30th! Unfortunately, my beautiful black Birchen Marans with the gorgeous iridescent teal and purple feathers appears to be a rooster ! I’m so sad, purchased this one specifically because it was supposed to lay dark chocolate browns like the Black Coppers! This is one has got a funny personality but very easily handled ,since I’ve been holding them all each day since they arrived here on 6/30. A real mush. Any takers? Ill even throw in fifty bucks for your effort, to buy feed, treats, whatever
