For the closed eye, there's an antibotic eye ointment you can put it across the eye, if you don't have any handy right now, try using some neosprin.

Well if it's wry neck here's what I have tried and it worked great, give about two drops twice a day of the Polyvisol and Vitamin E once a day. Just put the Vitamin E on her beak and let her do her thing. But heres the tricky part and your gonna have to figure this one out. They will either like the Vitamin E or the Polyvisol, but not both. So one will be easier to give to them then the other. LOL.. Don't know why but I have had two chickens that have had wry neck, one like the Polyvisol and not the Vitamin E and the other was the opposite. So What I did is give them the one they like the most first so that I knew for sure they got some in there system and worked like a dickin's with the other...

You can also put the polyvisol in there water.. Check to make sure she's eating first, I have also noticed that when I give my chickens the Polyvisol they seem to be hungry everytime, So I would have the soft food ready for her to pig out.. With the soaked food, she may not want to drink which is fine because water is in the soaked food, you can also put some polyvisol into the soft food as well, that is if she's being difficult in taking it... the one silkie I had would shake her head everytime I put the Polvisol on her beak and never take it. She's was a difficult one, it does take sometime before you actually see the results taken affect. So you must be patient..

it definitely sounds like wry neck to me. I got some great advice/help here and saved my chicken, but here I am, four months out, and still syringe feeding her. She won't eat on her own, I've made her a diaper, and she's living in the house.

I used polyvisol, selenium and vitamin E. I learned how to treat it here.

Silkies and Polish birds are prone to wry neck and brain injuries.

Did you soak the food?? Try soaking it you will definitely see a difference, I just gave it to 5 of mine, it's amazing how crazy they go over the stuff... No keep her with others you don't want her to stress out, stress will cause it to come on quicker and often, you want to keep her quiet. If she's happy with the others then keep her with the others, Chickens don't like to be alone, exspecially babies. If you have no choice but to have her alone then put some stuff animals in with her. But being with others is the best way right now. You have to keep this up every day until you start to see more and more improvements, but I should warn you. My one silkie got worst everyday until she got better. It took at least 3 to 4 days of getting worst and worst is when they totally tuck there heads in between there legs and walk backwards. Keeping there heads tucked underneath there legs..

But it sounds like you might have caught it in time before the worst, now once you start to see some improvements, you want to gradually decrease the dose. Another words each week decrease what you have been giving her, instead of 2 drops twice a day, try 1 drop twice a day, then 1 drop a day do this each week until fully recovered..

My friend found the only way to get her wry neck roo to take the polyvisol(no iron) was to put the drops on a piece of grape.
