Hi - I have a Silkie hen that hid out in the duck pen, and before we found her she had laid 4 eggs. I know they're fertilized and since she'd been on them for a week already we decided to let her keep setting.
Last night it got down to 27' here in Iowa. She's actually in the 'run' portion of the duck pen. The ducks don't bother her, but I'm worried because she's not in the actual coop where there are four sides, a roof, etc.
According to my math, eggs are due to hatch around the 16th of October. So, do I move her myself (I have a big cage and an empty room in the house) and risk her not finishing her set, or do I leave her where she is until babies hatch? We have our first hard freeze about a week away according to the weather people, and google isn't particularly helpful giving me advice.

Any advice here would be greatly appreciated.
