Help! I have lots of question's

have you heard of hens not laying eggs? For some reason mine will not,I've had 4 or 5 hens and none of them layed eggs for me ,unfortunately I am down to 1 hen and 1 rooster and she has been stuck in their with him all winter long, still no eggs. My husband is ready to give it up, but I'm optimistic and I keep trying. I want to have "so say" too many eggs, but I realize that I have to get more layin hens. Can someone help me on this before I have to toss in the rag. Thanx

Lots of things can prevent hens from laying...health, nutrition, stress, cramped quarters, improper ration of rooster to hens, lighting, molting, etc....Here is a thread you might want to look through for some ideas that may possibly fit what is going on in your flock.
