Help!! I ned to try to find out what kind of predator got my bird!!!!

If I have to guess from the two that you gave me I would say Cyote. Birds of prey come in grab with tallons and leave for the most part. Sorry for your loss.

Could be a possum... never thought about that. It was around 7 at night because I forgot to shut them in. I think she got eaten because she always goes in late. she was also a fully grown old rhode island red. Could a possum do that? I am not positive that we don't have raccoons and stuff, but we have our garbage open beside our house in plastic bags and it has not yet been disturbed. I am pretty sure a raccoon would go for that first...

Possum can be really mean! If you have a live trap set it! See what you catch.. Your local game worden might take it if you catch it. Oh, cover the cage in case of a skunk! They will not spray if covered (so I am told). I put 2 traps out tonight with chicken wings that I bought from the store. Use fishing line to tie to the rear of the trap so they can't grab and escape. They have to work for it and hopefully they will set it off like they are supposed to. Good luck!

Oh I think I might have just heard one of the traps shut. I'm sitting on my front porch. Yea!!!!!!!!!

Hopefully it's not one of my nosy cats...lol
