HELP! I need help with identifying my ducks. I ordered cayugas but I've never seen cayugas like this

Hmm they could be cayugas with very colorful chests but they almost look like a black Swedish. My cayugas weren't that colorful on their chest. I'd call where ever you ordered them from and let them know. I found a picture on Google with a Cayuga and black Swedish together and yours look like the Swedish. I thought the same thing. I ordered black swedish babies a few weeks ago and they seem to look the same. I put a call in and sent them pictures and I am now waiting for a reply. I just thought I'd try to gather other opinions. Thank you!

Your very welcome. I'm sure they will send you some of the right breed this time. Not sure what they will do with these babies? Maybe let you keep them.. hmm I'm not sure how that goes. Keep us updated. I hope everything turns out OK and you get the breed you ordered.

Where did you get them from?
Cayugas can have some lighter coloring on their chests but same as you, I've never seen them with that might white. I would say they sent you black swedish.

They're cuyogas..i just hatched 3 of them and they all have light chests like that.

Hmmmn, well I got them from ideal poultry. They are sweet little things <3 I emailed them pictures and they said it was hard to say so they shipped me more :/

Lol they don't even know? They might be cayugas but because their chests are so bright it makes me think Swedish but I guess even the place who shipped them is clueless lol. How many more are you getting?

I know this is late- but there is no way those babies are cayugas. Ugies are much darker as chicks than those babies, even when they have colorful chests.
