It’s a polish cockerel. The head feathers resemble an 80s glam rock star.

That’s my buff Orpington. She was quite thrilled that she killed a lizard. This is my first pix. I have to admit it was a little hard. I think it’s awesome OP took in a lost chicken. It was probably so sad.
