Help I think I have sick babies!!!

I've always used a huge tote for early brooding but I only have the lamp over one corner. The 225 or 250 watt bulbs leave very little room for error. Finding lower wattage ones is super tricky also.

This is what two of babies are doing right now. I’ve done everything I know to do.

Will they wake up? Just to be safe, are you certain they've drank? I don't feed until everyone drinks.

yes I made certain everyone was drinking when I got them home. And I waited 2 hours to make sure they were drinking on their own before I gave them a mixture of chick feed and some hard boiled egg yolks mixed in for some pick me up from their journey. They all had a hand in cleaning the dish out. It’s just those two acting this way all the other chicks are peepin around like normal

And no they don’t wake up they won’t try to run when we pick them up and they keep their eyes closed. My wife and I already quarantined them in their own brooder with food and water just in case they pep back up but I’m doubting they will make it through the night since they are still in the same spot we set them down

They are shipped chicks, yes? Be sure you contact the hatchery. There should be a refund policy for chicks that don't survive the first 48 hours.

So you have to be super careful about the temp where they are. Did you try getting a little drop of whatever solution you have in their beaks? Not sure you can do more than that. I'm sorry, bad shipping experience I guess. Just odd they did seem ok.

Yes I tried the solution and I guess it’s just the odds of shipping. Out of 18 babies these are the only two who won’t make it
