They both look like cockrels. I am a first time chicken owner also so I'm no expert. But the consensus on byc is that mine are cockrels. One has begun crowing. I included photos of my 2 for your reference. I hope I was of some help.

The thing is - do get rid of madame - she/he is ruining the enjoyment of your chickens for you. Don't ever keep a bird that does this.
