If you have a livestock feed store nearby, you can probably get poultry vitamins. Often they come with electrolytes.

Otherwise, you can get pedialyte, unflavored, no iron, at a drugstore or grocery store.

Niacin, just plain niacin capsules, no time-release or no-flush, can be bought at drugstores or big grocery stores.

100 to 150 mg of niacin dissolved in a gallon of water, it is okay for both ducklings, and what you don't get into their waterer now can be kept in the frij for a day at least, I would think.

Poultry vitamins are dissolved in water, too. Mine call for a quarter teaspoon per gallon of water.

I will look up the pedialyte dilution. . . it is here somewhere on the Duck Forum.

excellent, i have written everything down and now off to get some stuff. I have rearranged my kitchen and will be housing them in there for the time being - lucky i live alone

and can live/deal with the mess.

One more question, and it will be ok to put a small 'basin' in the kitchen for the time being, but, do they need to have access to swimming water all day ? Or for now is it ok to have them in the kitchen and take them out for a swim every couple of hours.
ok make that 2 questions - someone mentioned giving them weetbix ? yes no ?
I shall return. You have all been so amazingly helpful

For ducklings, supervised swim time is fine as often as you can swing it. Keep the water warmish, around 85F, and watch for signs of waterlogging or getting tired. If they don't start preening right away after bath, dry them with a dry washcloth. Make sure they get right back into a clean warm dry brooder after their bath time. Bathing is very important for them to avoid eye sinus and ear infections.

Please keep us posted. We are pulling for you all.

Pic taken this morning

i have separated them from their pool and given them the Vitamin mixture in a water bowl with...
on the side, chopped celery, spinich mixed with greek yoghurt and chopped cherios.
They are both drinking, but not eating. Mind you they have never really gone for anything
other than the chick starter and watermelon.

So we wait and see.

Neither of them are eating anything i have put out other than the chick starter and watermelon.
The poorly one let me hold the food bowl up to her and she had a small nibble, same with the medicated water.
She's bundled on a blankie now so keeping a watch on her.

I let both of them go onto the grass this afternoon for a good hour.
Put their chick starter and watermelon there for them as well as their medicated water.
The poorly duck seems a tiny enthusiastic when the other duck started munching on the food, so joined in
not with as much gusto but eating a little. Then they both waddled over to the water bowl that's usually there for them
and both drank. Good sign i am hoping. The poorly duck even munched on some grass.

They are tucked up in bed now with fresh chick starter and watermelon as well as a fresh bowl of medicated water.

So she has done very well for today and i am hoping by morning she has more energy and feeling a bit better.

Fingers crossed everyone
