HELP I THINK MY HEN HAS GAPEWORM

Have you pried open her mouth and looked inside? Look for obstructions such a lesions or plaque or something wrapped around the tongue. Yes, and worms. If she has gape worms you should see them in the back of her throat.

So sorry she died. But look in her mouth now. This will help you if another chicken has the same symptoms. It's a tragedy when a chicken dies and we couldn't save her, but if we learn something from her death, it won't be in vain she died.

I had.. there was nothing there

A young hen like that could have been internally laying or she had an egg stuck. If an egg blocks all poop, a hen can die in just 24 hours. I know you probably are traumatized by her death, but you could learn a lot by refrigerating her body and after you've had time to calm yourself, you could open her abdominal cavity and look at what's there. If there are eggs floating loose, she was internally laying. If you see an egg stuck in the oviduct down near the vent, she was eggbound. If you see white pea gravel on her organs, she had cancer.
