Help!!! I would like to know what kind of chickens these are?

My neighbor gave us two of his chicks after two of ours were killed. I'm new to raising chickens. Does anyone know what these two are! TY...

Sorry about the loss of your chicks... Your new little guys are cute, do they have single combs? If so, dark red and with yellow legs they look like they may be a Rhode Island Red or Production Reds or something like that.

Thank you.. They are cute. I'm not sure about the combs. I'm thinking they are single. You're going to have to explain the comb thing to me though. lol

I agree with Kelsie, they look like Rhode Island Red or Production Red.

Some type of hatchery red bird--rhode island, production red, cherry egger, etc.

Thanks everyone...it's funny when I go out there in the morning they run up to me and when I reach to pet them they are like oh crap what have I done and turn and run...lol

They look like hatchery quality Rhode Island Reds, or Production Reds.

LOL, my younger ones do that. My red hens were very skittish as pullets but have turned out to be the sweetest ones of my flock.
