Help ID chicken

It looks a bit like the new barred broilers that Hoover's has, too.

That head and neck look like her. This group is just starting to lay so I will try and catch when she is laying. I have 25 laying so it is hard to keep track of where everyone is at. I know most of their eggs though except 3 new breeds I have starting to lay now. She was one of my puzzles. Thanks.

I raised 25 grey broiler pullets this year and about half of them looked just like OPs girl with the whiter head and hackles. The other half had some red in them like this pullet. @Wrangler4 , does she have big feet?

Please tell me her name was Tick. Her head is so disproportionate to her body and legs. 😂

I just locked them up for the night so I can check tomorrow. I never really noticed. Were yours black chicks with a white dot on their head?
I have another chicken of unknown origin with the smallest head and medium body. I call her Orphan because she was a late hatcher and mom abandoned her. The owner was going to kill her and my neighbor rescued her and gave it to me. The most skiddish chicken.

Geena, that does look like my chicken. I am not at all familiar with broilers since I only do egg layers. Any idea on egg production or color? Probably not broody? Thanks

This is the first time I've raised the grey ones, but I did keep a few to add to my breeding birds. They started laying at about 16 weeks and the eggs vary from light to medium brown. Broiler girls lay pretty good their first year, but after that not so great to hardly at all. I've never had one get broody.
