Help Identify A Weird Track??

I know you don't want to put a camera up, but aren't you curious as to the size of the gator(s)? Maybe it's a hoax.
If I put a camera up, I'll most likely catch joggers, & vehicles.
Why would anybody play a hoax out where we live, or midway between our house, & the railroad tracks?

There is a private property near by that has ponds, so there's a water source if there's gators in our area. I almost forgot about that place.

Common snapping turtles, which are native to Michigan and leave these sort of tracks are a much more likely suspect than the old wives tales of released alligators surviving.
I've seen snapper tracks, & trails. They usually have a belly slide. I know because we find them at our grandpa's house.
But I'll search, & compare.

It may be hanging out by the pond. The one I posted a picture of I see quite regularly.
