alright so we moved into our new house, and the tennant before us had a flock of about 30 that he just left to free roam when he was evicted, only two have managed to survive and ive got the coop rebuilt and finally got them penned up. Now i just need to figure out what im working with. im almost positive that ones a leghorn, but the brown ones throwing me for a loop, at first i was thinking RIR, then i was thinking production. now that i managed to get ahold of them for the pictures its got a green neck, so im at a loss. also... any clue on gender. i know at least one is a hen because i had an egg this afternoon, but i have no idea which one laid it, it was large and light brown and pretty smooth.

Top one looks like a roo to me, lots of comb sticking up behind his head. Also the legs are not bleached from laying. It's definitely not a Brown Leghorn though, because they have white earlobes.

If the bottom one is a Leghorn hen, and it does appear to be a hen, it must be older because the legs are very bleached out. My year-old Leghorn hens still have light yellow legs.

The first one is a hen! She is a American Game.
The second one I cant tell by the pic...
