We are new to this site, although not completely new to chickens. We had chickens a few years ago that we got at 4 months old. This time, we decided to start with chicks. The feed store we bought them from wasn't much help. Depending on who we talked to, they were either 1 week old or 3 weeks old, and they weren't sure of all the breeds they had. Any help you can give on identifying age, breed, and gender would be greatly appreciated!

Lucky

Chickee

Nappy

Chickzilla

Thank you!

Thank you!

We went back to the feed store and spoke with their chicken expert. Lucky is a Leghorn, Chickee and Nappy are Easter Eggers, and Chickzilla is a Barred Rock. We also added Happy to our flock, a Golden Sex Link.

Golden Sex Link is one of a number of labels under which some hatcheries market their Red Sex Links and they are laying machines. You should get loads of large, brown eggs from Happy.)
