So a few months ago we had a very bad flood down here in South Texas & I lost nearly all my flock. We've recently bought more chicks due to my girls not laying although they're of age. Anyway I got two of the cutiestlittle furry babies but didn't even think to ask what breed they were. Maybe silkies ?

My first thought was Polish not Silkie...

They are so cute when they grow up, but they can be hard to sex. I have a pullet that people were convinced was a cockerel for the longest time due to her hairdo! They are very sweet too, ours is calm enough to just sit in our lap for the longest of time, but she can be shy too. Good luck, and im sorry you lost your flock like you did!
