Help identifying an insect in poop board/tray.

Hello, as I was cleaning out the poop board/tray, I saw these incredibly small insects. Instead of using pine flake, I recently switched to medium coarse sand.

I have attached a few different pictures and angles. I tried the reverse image search, but it was not reliable.

They are about the size of a gnat. I was able to get a picture of one of them on a rock, and then trapped one in a ziplock bag for the better quality images.
