Sorry, I am a new member/ poster and put this in the wrong forum the first time so I'm moving it over here!:

It's time for another round of the ever popular 'What Breed is My Chick?' game!!

First of all let me say that I am a new member and a new chicken mom! This was not a decision taken lightly and I spent weeks on this site gaining TONS of knowledge before we went and started our new poultry family!

That said, I need some help finding out what some of my babies are. I bought 6 from the Tractor Supply Co. pullet assortment (the white or black and white asst.) but they seem to only be 4-5 days old and they aren't really distinguishable yet (except the tetra tint that has some more obvious color). The other 6 are 2 weeks old and are an assortment from a local farm supply store and they vary greatly.

The whole flock :)

This is Snoozi! My 2 yo son named her (assuming she's a she for now, the older group was not sexed). Australop? I'm not sure if the were all black or had the white belly. Her flight wings are white too, underneath the black upper wings.

Here is Elliot. She's a charcoal grey all over, with the top of her head being a little more white. Not sure if her and Snoozi are the same breed, but they don't seem like it.

This is Dorothy, one of our younger pullets. She's quite young, but does have those few black flecks so I thought maybe you guys would know?

This is Bob. He has a twin brother, Billy (Again, don't know if they're boys or girls, but that was what the kids went with). He just looks like a standard brown chicken to me. His feathers are almost marbled looking. Thoughts?

And finally Frank. His wings are similarly marbled to Billy and Bob's, but he seems to be quite differently colored. Not sure if it's a lighter version of the same breed or a completely different one.

Thank you guys in advance for the help!! You've been great with other posters :)

Thank you for your help! I think the sex links you're talking about are the black ones, right? At least the stark black one I think is a black sex link rooster now that I've been reading more and more.

I assume the two reds are what you called 'production reds'. I suppose we'll wait and see if they end up male or female. We think Frank, the last pic I put up is a Red Ranger, so it will most likely become a meat bird in a couple months. We got some more red sex links (6 female, 1 male).

Right now we have 19 birds in our homemade brooder and they're getting along great. I think the plan now is to keep 1 rooster for the flock as protection and any others will become nuggets. We SHOULD only have a max of 7 that could be male, so that will leave us with at least a dozen layers. We are so happy with our birds so far!!
