We were told ALL were Australop pullets..... I have NO idea.... but they don't all look identical to me... Also notice some have tail feathers and longer feathers, and some don't. Is this indicative of roos vs hens?

Anybody else wanna tell me what they think? Anybody think any of these are roos? I know it's probably too early to tell......

give it 2 or 3 weeks and you will definately know if any of those barreds are boys. I had gotten 8 barred rocks in my hatchery order for 'packing peanuts' so they were all boys...by 4 weeks they had very large combs popping up....

You have Barred Rocks and black australorps. No idea on the BA's....but I would guess you do have 1 Barred Rock boy, the ones with the huge white blushing blob white spots on the head facing right in that first picture towards the food jar and no white barring on the wing yet.

I have black australorps and barred rock babies in the brooder right now...you definately have a mixture! The ones with the white stripes on their wings are barred rocks!!!

I also vote BR for the ones with spots on their heads and I'm betting roos because of how light grey they are and their upright stance.

the ones with NO black on their heads are now beginning to show some brown showing up in their saddle? feathers.... Not sure if they are called saddle feathers but they are the feathers coming out on the very top of their backs.... One of those 2 with no spots on heads has brown on the face as well...

Still think BA?
