Best I can tell MyPetChicken.com pulled a fast one on us. We ordered 6 chicks, all of them different breeds. We ordered a Light Brown Leghorn, Blue Andalusian, Red Star, Rhode Island Red, Easter Egger, and a Gold Wyandotte. The Leghorn, Andalusian, Wyandotte, and RIR are all accounted for. That leaves EE and Red Star, neither of which looks like this chick. Any ideas?

Thanks!

Looks to me like you have a nice little barred EE. The leg color is certainly right, a face shot might help but I think that is your EE.

That is your EE. We have 1 that looks very much like that. Here is ours with our white EE.

huh. I knew EEs come in various makes and models, but I wasn't aware that barred was one of them. I guess this means that mypetchicken.com isn't conspiring against me after all... =] Thanks for the pics - that one of the hatchling looks exactly like ours did.

Well, they're only half green egger.

The other half could be almost any kind of chicken, right?

We hatch that color EE in every hatch we do.Ours are EE or on both sides or EE x Ameraucana for generations but I don't care for the traditional browns so we have some very interesting colors in our pens.
Here are just 2 of my girls

They don't look that different from some of my EEs if you change the white to rust/copper on them.
