I have no pics but this guy is pretty distinctive looking.

his body is buff, but his tail is black, he also has a black mohawk, that hes had since he was a chick.

I also have a pullet that isbuff with a black tail. i thought the was a buff orp because she looks like a buff orp rooster i have, but with black tail feathers i'm thinking she could be related to the roo mentioned above.

hes neither of those for sure.

Hes a full sized chicken, hes not the biggest roo i have though. he has a crest, but thats hot what i'm refering to when i describe his mohawk, its a tuft of long hairlike feathers that come from directly behind his head and ark down the back of his neck in the same fashion as his tail feathers only much smaller. he doesn't have feathers on his legs/feet, and hes got 4 toes. I'm gonna see if i can borrow a camera and get a pic.

Depends on how many generations back the silkie gene is, my silkie crosses were out of a 1/3 silkie and 2/3 OEGB father and a mother of the same make-up, out of the 13 chicks only 2 had 5 toes, none had feathered legs, combs also varied, skin colour varied depending on feather colour and all had the lil tuft of feathers behind their comb.

okeydokee!!

i finally got pics, and of several roos and some hens. again, any help is appreciated.

some of these pics are me showing off some of my pretties.

This is the guy in question. When i purchased him as a chick, he was advertised as a favorelle, I don't think he is.

I also purchased some "Buff Orpington" chicks, and for better or worse this is what i ended up with after some tragic negligence.

Shes got no waddle and feathers on her feet. The color pattern is consistent throughout her body. a dull yellow with subtle flecks of black.

Those are my unknowns.

I'll post pics of the silkies and the others elsewhere.
