What should be expected as a 'good' wind down time? Some things I'd do if you go see them all again:
- Will the dog eventually settle (lie down, etc) or does it never stop going? If you play with it for 5 minutes, then stop playing, does it wind down quickly?
Is it normal for a dog to have one problem area (e.g. ears) that they won't want touched without a medical reason (e.g. ear infection or the like, something that makes that area hurt) or should they be fine having everything touched?- Does it pay attention to you if you call it? How long does the attention stay on you? Will the dog come to you?
- Touch everything if you are allowed to (be cautious though in case the dog doesn't like it). Pet the back, head, stomach, gently grab the ears, paws, tail. How does the dog react?
Are you allowed to do things like walk the dog, have the dog visit with other dogs, etc, when meeting them? What if they're in a foster home and not being housed at a shelter?- How is the dog on a leash? Around other dogs? Any severe prey-drive?

Yeah but it said like every single thing even fear was high aggression and I don’t think most of that stuff is common at allIts just meant to be a overview of common ways a shelter will try and cover up behavior issues. Its not always true, though.
There was a link in there that showed a facebook post from a woman that had adopted a dog with a description that used some of the example words and it was like ''....I currently don't have the use of either hand, but the doctor was able to reattach my left pointer finger, which had been severed. The bones in my right arm are shattered...."I wouldn’t worry too much. Honestly that article seemed a bit extreme and definitely not true for all dogs or shelters

If you look through the first 50ish pages, that was the plan, but there are just no puppies available in any breed that would work for us that are near us for about two years because of waiting lists.you could get a doggo from a experinced breeder, and train doggo boi at age of puppy
