I'm sorry, I don't find it funny.

There are too many in that exact position for whom it is a bad thing.

And far too many who are having difficulty getting pregnant (no matter the age/situation) to where this ends up being a slap in the face to them.

Two years ago (I was 40) the onset of Diabetes made me swell up like a balloon. I went from being model thin to a chubby pregnant look in a matter of months . . .
SO for April fools one of my girlfriends (Jill) called another girfriend and said "oh my gosh your never going to believe it . . . Katy's pregnant . . . and the baby is Michaels (yet another girlfriends huband) . . . and Jennifer (Michaels wife) isn't even mad! This rumor went through my neighborhood like WILDFIRE!
We had quite a BBQ that evening laughing our butts off and toasting Jill's sense of humor, she told us her mother won't even answer the phone on April 1st anymore.

LOL! you guys should have seen the look on my mom when i told her! i played the scared-face and crocodile tears. and when she started to cry i took my face out of my hands and scream A P R I L F O O L S!!!

she looked startled, then confused for a moment and laughed! harder even than i was laughing. im glad my mom has a sense of humor similar to mine (or that i have on similar to hers)
